Motor Test
Gerling Laboratories has developed a motor test tool designed to
permit the owner of a bench top lathe or mill to safely test the
motor to see if it is a part of a performance problem they might be
experiencing.
The test tool applies a DC voltage to the motor going through a
safety (ballast) load consisting of an incandescent light bulb.
An analysis of the brightness of the light bulb and the status
of indicators on the test tool provide diagnostic information about
the motor.
The tool will sent on loan to any Gerling Laboratories
controller repair client that experiences a reinstallation problem
that might be associated with the motor. The is no charge for the
loan but the client is expected to pay shipping costs both ways.
(Estimated to range between $9 and $18 depending on client
location.)
